Client Testimonial

Listen to My Work

Steven is primarily a good man, very honest, and he likes to help everybody. He is a person who does not looking at everything in money, and never count every second and minute to charge the customer. He knows his job well, and always has an idea and a solution when the job gets stuck. I was personally surprised and at the same time dared fifteen years ago, when I asked him for help, if he can do the remix for the music that he never heard in his life. But to make long story short, Steven pleasantly surprised and did a very good job, which means I was very pleased.

Steve is amazing: patient, understanding, honest with a really good ear.

Steve’s that kind of guy, he can operate the camera. And what I mean by camera is an old camera with actual film. He holds that camera and he waits for the moment. That moment, that one moment when he just snaps a photo and it’s that brilliant moment. He snaps the photo when he didn’t know it was going to happen. Just capturing such beauty, such beauty. Capturing the heart, the heart of the moment. Steve knows how to take those kind of pictures.

“The best mastering guy in the known universe”

David Graves

Steve has been my engineer of choice for over a decade. He has an exceptional ear and really knows his gear. He is calm, quick (yet extremely precise) and very patient when working with artists. What I also really appreciate is that he will contribute opinions and creative ideas if asked, and the artist always feels comfortable and relaxed in his studio, which is so important for making music.

Dolores Duran-Cefalu

Such a cozy and warm feeling at this studio. Definitely the vibes needed to record your music. He knows what he’s doing when handling your music. I felt care and respect in all my sessions there. I appreciate his services!

Steve is the best engineer I’ve ever worked with! His professional and easy going demeanor help to make it comfortable when recording and he gives helpful recommendations that elevates the quality of the final product! His mixing and mastering skills are second to none! I’ve already done 3 group albums and 2 solo projects with him. I’ll definitely be recording again with Steve in the near future!

Steve Glaze, owner of Tone Freq Studios, has done recordings of my music on multiple occasions. Most recently we did a group vocal recording of a song I wrote and it went really well. Steve’s studio and his work are outstanding.

Steven Glaze is simply the best. Not only did he help me make multiple great masters of mixes that have done very well, but he is so kind, honest, nice and helpful. He even helped me with a new mix need like years later and dug up old hard drive to help find the songs to send mix. He is a true professional and wonderful to work with. Highly recommend. One of the very best in the music industry.

Being a producer in Nashville who has a lot of clients in the Bay Area, Steve is an indispensable part of my operation. I need somebody in the Bay Area I trust to send my clients to when they need to cut vocals and/or instrumental parts, and Steve is the perfect person to fill that need. There are many people in the Bay Area who can record, but when it comes to something as intimate or sensitive as my client’s music, it’s difficult to find someone I can trust 100 % in terms of quality, dependability, and personality. Steve is not just the consummate professional in terms of recording, but he has a laid back manner and a sense of responsibility that put my clients(and me) at ease. I may be 2,300 miles away, but I’m never worried when I send a client to record with Steve.

Steven Glaze is polite, honest, reliable, competent & professional. He has recorded several projects for me & each time has risen above in service. He is also personable, no arrogance when interacting with him. Give him a try.

Had an amazing experience working with Steve at Tone Freq this past year. He’s easy to work with, communicative, knowledgeable, and really understands how to bring your creative vision to life. I’ve recorded 12 songs with him so far and definitely plan to do more. Would highly recommend him to any recording artist!

Stella Miller

Steven Glaze is the man! I really can not say enough about how awesome and talented this man is. He is clearly an expert in his craft and he brought the best out of us. He is so humble and down to earth although he is a genius wizard. If you are looking for some studio time, do not hesitate to hit him Up!

Tone Freq Studios is one of the best recording studios in San Jose. I record here with Steve, and he always makes sure the music sounds clean, professional, and exactly how I want it. The studio has a comfortable atmosphere, great equipment, and even Steve’s bird adds to the good vibes! Steve is also part Panamanian like me, so there’s a real connection and family feeling whenever I’m there. If you’re an artist looking for quality recording and mastering in the Bay Area, I definitely recommend Tone Freq Studios.

Troublez Music

Steve is hands down one of the best engineers I’ve worked with. He really takes the time to understand the artist, the vision, and what you’re trying to make people feel not just how you want the record to sound. He has an incredible ear, pays attention to every detail, and always knows how to bring a song to life without taking away from what makes you unique. On top of being extremely talented, he’s professional, patient, easy to work with, and genuinely cares about the final product. Every session feels comfortable and creative, and I always leave feeling like the song reached a whole new level. I’d recommend Steve to any artist looking for an engineer who truly understands music and knows how to make you sound your absolute best.
